What is Multi-Site Worship?
Multi-site worship has been established to support congregations requiring Sunday leadership through the use of technology. Using the model of a hub church partnering with satellite churches, a cluster of congregations are joined together for a fully interactive, live worship service with participation from all of the partner churches.
The Hub Mission
01
To share our faith by
looking outward to our neighbourhood
02
Building partnerships in our community and beyond.
03
The Hub allows us to connect to other United Churches in need of leadership through technology
04
Connecting and enriching our Faith Community.
How it Works...
- The Host Church prepares the service in one document.
- Participating satellite churches become involved in worship by leading parts of service from their locations: i.e., Prayers, Scripture, Call to Worship, Children’s time etc.
- Music is shared from all locations: musicians/choirs etc.
- Partnering churches obtain a Satellite Box – rental or purchase
- Cost to engage in HUB worship is comparable to lay supply
- Currently multi site worship occurs every Sunday
The Host Church...
- Manages the production of the service and livestream.
- Our set up includes 4 cameras, microphones and audio interface.
- Production Software, Vmix allows video conferencing, live-streaming and recording.
The Satellite Box...
- The Satellite Box includes a projector, sound system, video conferencing interface, camera, and an internet hotspot.
- Satellite churches need a place to project - blank wall or a TV screen.
- Satellite Church are required to manage the technology at their end.
